The NFL will do what they always do when a blown call costs a team a game, sweep it under the rug and pretend it didn't happen...

And give the refs raises for the hard work they put in to screw us

That no one from the NFL has given any public explanation for what happened or why no call was made this long after the game is inexcusable. The only public comment from any referee was Vinovich in his protected press remarks claiming he still hadn't seen the play. We that the director of referees called Sean Payton, but the league is too cowardly to discuss it publicly.

So the refs actually got together after the play and the on field mic picked up their conversation.
Ref 1: that was PI and helmet to helmet.
Ref 2: yup so?
Ref 3: saw it too.
Ref 2: wanna keep your job?
Ref 3: what he said.
Ref 1: ball was tipped

And there is the mystery of the tipped ball.
