Did y’all not see the score? We won! (1 Viewer)

They have a specific way in which they want to win. They will be belly-aching and whining all season long if they don't adjust their warped expectations.

This isn't Drew Brees' Saints anymore and Taysom didn't win the job. Complain or accept it. Either way, it doesn't matter.

So when he tries to make a play, it's "same ol Jameis". When he holds on to the ball or throws it away, he lacks confidence

The WR's he's currently working with are not getting open. When he has time you see him going through his progressions & nothing is there. If Thomas & Smith can make it back and contribute like they're capable of, his stats will start opening up. Will he still make mistakes? Sure, but I think we've got a strong enough team where the whole thing doesn't have to be on his back
the difference is when Brees was in games like this he smartly played small ball and Jameis seems to keep trying for the home run. hes not doing safe check downs he is trying to do too much. Im not saying he cant evetually do it but if we are going to get anywhere this season he needs to adjust in a hurry. There are two other good teams in our division that look playoff bound and we cant afford to screw around.

It’s insane. Then they say he should check down uhh.....with a LB sitting right there in coverage?

and controlled the game from jump
why in the world would you choose to be sore winners?
I think some people dislike Jameis to the point that it bothers them now when we win. I'm even willing to bet that they enjoyed last week's game more than this week's just because they got to bash Jameis. They aren't true Saints fans in my opinion and it brings the rest of us down when they bring that negative energy into the forum.

Love the win. 2-1 is nothing to be down about, and we have a very realistic chance at getting to 4-1.

I also think this offense is going to get better but it’s not very good right now. We got shorted a preseason game, have a number of young players at skill positions who are being asked to step up and fill important roles probably sooner than should be expected. Hopefully Stills settles in quickly and that stabilizes things until we get more experienced and healthier.

I also don’t mind admitting that Jameis isn’t playing very well, and bad, at times. I just don’t know enough to say why. Is he holding the ball out of indecisiveness, is he processing things too slowly, is he overthinking, are we seeing some rust from a guy who played very little football last year and is still getting comfortable in a new system, are the receivers not getting open consistently? Probably some of all that and maybe more.

It’s three weeks. We’re 2-1. The defense is playing good to great. The kicking game is shaky. Offense is uncharacteristically struggling under Payton. I wish that wasn’t the case but if there was an area of the team I expect Payton to be able to sort out, it’s offense. (I don’t give a flip what Mora thinks when it comes to that side of the ball.)

I didn't see the game and went to the Saints website to see who won. I came here and would have never known they won listening to some of these people. I watched the highlights and Winston looks like he did just fine to me. What gives with all of the complaints?

I know we have a defensive team…but we are gonna watch this offense grow or implode. Replacing a HOF QB is a big deal with a young guy who has talent but had some issues on his last team….I’m giving them time. I don’t like making excuses but MT13 is a big piece and TQS would make a difference…I’m disappointed in Trautman, the TE position is almost non existent through 3 games. They need to play Juwon Johnson more…Winston doesn’t have an outlet at all basically…our WR need to get open. Banged up o-line and missing coaches, hurricanes 🌀, away from home for a month…it all takes it toll.

I honestly don’t know what we will have on offense but I know that TD that Winston threw scared me half to death with Calloway.

Jameis sheets on himself. but this isnt all on him the missed fgs hurt. All the injuries and long road trip hurt. The Saints are overcoming a LOT. But Jameis isnt looking very confident behind that line and against playoff defenses he NEEDS to.
He does not fit our style of play on offense

He almost made critcial mistakes by just throwing the ball up twice. He will cost us eventually.
But he didn't.

Therefore it's stupid to even whine about it. Would it make you feel better if he didn't throw up that prayer to Calloway and risk trotting out our kicker who was missing everything?

If it works it works, if not whatever.
