The "Diet Pepsi Rookie of the Year" award will be voted on soon, and I realize that based on the huge skewing we've seen in the ROTW contests, there will probably be little hope of anyone other than VY taking the award. HOWEVER, if for some reason only one Saint is nominated for the award (There will only be 5), then perhaps there is still a chance. I would tend to guess Bush would get more votes in the end out of popularity than Colston would, assuming only one is nominated, even though head-to-head polls have put Colston ahead. This is because as with any poll, the actual choices will make a huge difference. If only one Saints player is nominated to this poll, which should be up today (Friday), why not vote multiple times (come on, you know you're bored anyway since the Saints aren't playing until the 13th or 14th).

By the way, for those of you who don't know, Bush was chosen as the Rookie of the Month in December. Can someone please explain to me who chooses these awards as opposed to the "official" awards chosen by journalists or the meaningless awards like ROW chosen by anonymous internet polls where people can (and do) vote multiple times? I know there's also another "ROW" award on nflplayers.com, which I assume actual players vote on instead of random people. The thing I like about that award is that Bush actually won it the week he scored 4 tds against SF (VY won the ROW on the Diet Pepsi poll). By the way, keep in mind that while VY is sitting on his butt watching the playoffs in the comfort of his Houston or Tenn. home, Bush and/or Colston will have the chance to make their cases to the fickle minds of NFL fans (not talking about Saints fans, of course), so again, assuming only one is nominated, there's a good chance people will begin to let the fantasies they've been having about VY sort of fade the way their Romo fantasies faded, and their Garcia fantasies will soon fade, also.

Ok, well I've made some announcements, asked some questions, and hopefully prompted some responses, so I'll go ahead and read your replies now.

People (i.e.: the masses) tend to go with the popular choice that has been announced. Since Young was already announced, I think he'd get it.

Personally, I think it would have been Colston if he hadn't gotten injured. Oh well!

Well since Reggie is the main endorser for Diet Pepsi I wouldn't be surprised if he won it...

i think alot of people who vote for these awards listen to alot of people who shouldn't be allowed to vote at all.
