Discontinued/Unavailable Foods that you miss (6 Viewers)

Not necessarily a food per se, more of a food concept- but sadly this was dropped from Wendy's ages ago.

In my teen days, my skater friends and I used to visit the one in Kenner off Williams (by what was Don Carter's), and only purchase a single plate. We'd then take turns sharing and would do this for quite some (literally, months) until the manager caught on and kicked us out.

Do people even go inside and eat at Wendy's these days?

used to love Wendys buffet. the tacos were the bomb, i could eat my weight in those.

my cousin and his friend used to do that at Mr Gattis puzza Buffet (BR by Cortana Mall), except they would just go in and sit at a table where people just left, after a few minutes, get up and just go to the buffet, no one ever questioned them.

That’s pretty creative, lol.

Yeah, the Mexican section of that bar was my go-to for sure.

Just don't see many buffets anymore. I used to like going to them because you see the food and pick what looks good and get more after the first plate if you wish.

(Pours out a little from the 40 for Popeyes buffet on Severn in Metairie. And a little more for SuperPopeyes on Vets)

I know the Japanese used wrap some of candy in a rice paper that would dissolve in the mouth.
IIRC they were called White Rabbit and were like vanilla Tootsie Rolls. I've been looking for them again since I was a kid.

Used to like them when I was younger.

But now, unless its a really nice buffet not generally available to the public, like maybe at say a hotel, I'm a definite no on the buffets. Food quality is generally poor, and you have no idea what the previous customers have been doing. Especially the ones that are "kid friendly"

Last time I went to Golden Corral it was just nasty

Plus if you're trying to lose or even maintain weight, they are major killer

Greatest beer of all time. When it was discontinued around 2013 my cousin found a gas station that was liquidating their inventory. I rushed over there and bought every single case. I lived the dream for about a month. Good times. Good times.

i don't have a pic of them, but my no. 1 item is McKenzie's Halloween cookies. I've seen what is supposedly the recipe online, but i just could not get that to work. My favorite cookie of all time and i would pay $20 for a single cookie right now.
