Came across this, any truth to this? if so, Thoughts?

During an interview on SIRIUS NFL Radio Movin' The Chains, University of Alabama WR D.J. Hall said he will hold a private workout with the New Orlean Saint

i would be alot more comfortable with Hall at Devery's roster spot... pretty much the same type of player except Hall can catch

Hall is a good player, but has had a few off the field problems, and seems to have a bad attitude at times

I would love the pick. Hall gave LSU fits. He is a good player who could come in and probably be our # 3 guy.

I think he is a good WR and actually wouldn't mind drafting him at all. He's clutch when he is on the field.

yeah i like Hall, i was a lil suprised when i saw him projected as low as the 4th...

Hall is an very good WR. Could be a great pickup in the 3rd round.

They're actually not the same type of player at all. Devery is an exception athlete, a burner with some work to do on his catching and other football skills. DJ Hall is not overly big or fast or physically impressive but runs great routes, gets separation, has good hands, and comes through in games.

That said, I'd love to have DJ Hall in the 3rd or 4th round if he's there for us. This is a little bit of the Bama fan coming out in me but he really is exactly what we need in this WR group. A young guy that already has the football skills but won't be pressured into early PT or giant expectations. He's actually a really good guy and great teammate and has the neccessary "football character" but just has to overcome his love for the herb if you know what I'm saying. That's what mostly got him in trouble at Alabama which is why most of his troubles were kept in-house instead of in courtrooms. I'm fully confident that he will emerege sooner rather than later as a great #3 WR and develop into a great complimentary #2 or possibly even a #1 in the NFL.

Sounds to me like we should be making a comparison to Patten instead of Handerson from what you wrote. I think your assessment is right on and he would be a quality pickup.....but don't we have more pressing needs to address in this draft instead of WR with our third round pick?
