The only thing that is true is that some old Mayan day-count calendar will reach a round figure on that date. The calendar does not end, it merely reaches day number 13.0.0.0.0 and the next day will be 13.0.0.0.1 and it will continue.

They had a show on last night about this ( History Channel I believe )

Not only the mayans calander, but hindu as well predicts 2012 ( well, they interpreted that way ) Also something called WebBot. Some software program that can make predictions based on internet key words/traffic.

I figure it to be true since I will be finished paying off my wifes car and will finally have no car notes in 2011. So why wouldnt it end?

Don't forget the I Ching and Terence McKenna's interpretation of it's possible outcomes over modern time. :creepy:

It has to do with astoronmical alignment of "the black band". It's about the earths procession. Coincidental at best.

When the zombpocalypse comes nobody gets into my bunker without boobage. And the flesh has to be firm too.

You think Loomis trades our nexts years draft away now, wait untill 2011. Wait a minute maybe Al Davis......

Nope. Just more fearmongering by the media. Does anyone remember the Y2K fiasco??

With regard to the Mayan calendar, it's circular, and the 5000th year is the end of one cycle and the beginning of another. It's a time for celebration and new beginning, not a time of woe and fear. just don't ever count on our media to see things from this angle. It's pathetic that we let such misinformation govern our lives. Will we now return to a time when we see a lunar eclipse as the sun eating the moon?

If there's anything good about such moronic predictions, it's that we have no control over such galactic events, so we may as well be happy in the present moment :)

The way I look at it. If its true its true. We'll all be together on December 22, 2012 either way... I wouldn't wanna be one of the one in a million survivors if there are any.

Think about it...you could go on all the rides at Great Adventure for free ..and get really good seats at Saints Games.... why wouldnt you want to be 1 in a million??

December 21st, 2012 will be a day that the black hole will absorb all of us into the deep empty void. You'd better learn to shake your moneymaker because the Mayan Calender is going to make us all stand up front and center, with a FIRM GLARING HAND TO OUR FACES. WE will get the fail tag aong with being locked, stocked, and OWNED like miserable rats unable to get off a sinking ship.

You cannot escape the coming Apocolypse people. IT's been quoted to abandon all hope he that will enter here, will kick Satan's *** like the low level crack whore we've always known him to be. That SOB deserves to be bound, taken to a Guantamano Bay detention center, and get the everloving **** kicked out of him before his ***gets thrown into that Lake of Fire to burn like a squealng stock pig forever and ever.

Inglorious ******** to the hardcore nth degree, baby.

Wonder if my boss will let me take that day off???????????????????

December 21st, 2012................

Call me clueless, but this is the first I've heard of this. That's what living under a rock does to you........

Oh well, I'll just go back under my rock now....................

I think on December 22nd people will wake up with a new love of life. Even the biggest skeptics will go to sleep that night with a shade of doubt in the back of their minds that nothing will be there in the morning. And Voila, a new appreciation for the things we all take for granted.

Anyone remember the comet Kohoutek, back in the 70's, when the world was supposed to end?

This is silly, in order to have a shade of doubt in the back of my mind, I would have to somewhat believe the nonsense. There are perfectly valid explanations of this 2012 b.s. that the conspiracy theorists refuse to acknowledge. There will be no shade of doubt in my mind when I go to sleep that night.
