Named Loyd Trotter. I've been hearing him advertise on the radio saying he's the new owner of Pest Stop in Lafayette. I never heard of him and can't even find anything about him on Google.

Anybody remember Steve Baumgartner?

He played DE for us from 1973-77.
He lives on the Northshore and has a hardware store in Covington.
Really nice guy.
Met him years ago when I worked for a paint distribution company.

A good friend of mine who’s from Louisiana but lives in Denver worked in sales briefly with the infamous Shawn Knight (11th overall pick by the Saints in 87’ - only started 1 game and was out of the league in 3 years).

He said he was incredibly friendly and very candid about his brief time in New Orleans and the league overall.

Agreed. What about the practice squad? Never heard the commercial or know who he is but was just throwing out an idea.

my assumption is practice squad, taxi squad, walk-ons, camp fodder et al don't count

seems logical that if you didn't make the roster you aren't/weren't on the team

i don't know any camp bodies by name, but you could always check against the all-time list, which seems legit
