Here in the glorious, People's Republic of Indianastan, online "games of chance" are illegal though nobody has been prosecuted for playing.

Way back in the before times (2011) my account was lost when the Clerics of our illustrious government made it illegal.

I'm still not able to play on most of the better known sites. Bovada, I'm told, will allow me to open an account. I'm not familiar with them so I was hoping that somebody here would know about them.

We have casinos, we can play poker in them but they pay our politicians to keep the online option unavailable to the great unwashed.

(I'd also argue that poker is not a game of chance.)

I think a certain connoisseur of 7 bean chili may play on occasion.

I played on Full Tilt Poker many moons ago, right up until that whole mess unraveled.

I do play on PokerStars every now and then, but only play money. Don't think we have any real money options here either. I wish they'd legalize it and let everyone make their own decisions how they spend their money.

The casinos pay good money to prevent us from being able to play online. I have local casinos but I'm not going to one in this environment, and they rarely have tournaments. They usually have cash games that are for people who have gambling problems and unlimited cash.

If you’re that hard up to throw away your money just mail it to me

Yeah, I've only played live poker a few times about 10 years ago. Couple of tourneys. I was always more of a sit n go or large tourney player. Rarely played cash games. It was never a money thing, although a did turn a $230 buy in into $1500 once.
