Does anyone else think the time management was odd at the end? (1 Viewer)

They were trying to score and leave no time for Pitt to respond.

It was working.

If Copper hold on we have the ball around the 20 with 4 shots at the end zone.

I liked our chances to tie.

It only would have worked if the Saints could have pulled off a long yardage play, and we technically never did.

My only point, and it seems to be lost on people, is that you ALWAYS have the option to slow the game down later when you get down the field too quickly (see the Eagles game) You can't get time back when you spend too much of it before you get down the field. The running of the clock should have been more back-end emphisized than front-end. That's my only point.

I thought the clock management was fine. The Steelers defense couldn't stop the Saints pretty much all game so there wasn't any doubt in my mind that the Saints could be able to move the ball down the field running as much time off the clock as possible. If Copper doesn't fumble, I'm pretty confident that we tie that game up and go to overtime.

no the way they were scoring, we played for the last possession and overtime, very smart not to score with time for them to score and us left watching
