Does anyone here remember the Chargers/Saints game in 2004 (1 Viewer)

This was pretty funny too!

I had just about forgotten about that one!!

What a classic. Sorta sums up Aaron Brooks.

I cheered for him to the end. My wife gave up on him way before I did. Led to some interesting drives going home after the games.

Eventhough it was Adrian McPherson, it's still funny.

Because it's one of the funniest things to happen in football in the last 10 years, regardless of what team you pull for.

I find this funny, just not the backwards throw. It was more like "um..... what?"

I was at that game. Somebody threw a coke at our group from up above where we were sitting and it either hit or just barely missed Andrus and his wife.

I was at that game, too. 43-17 was the final. I got killer seats right behind the Saints bench, 50yd line, row 1.

I remember the Saints walking out onto the sideline before the game, and some guy that was with the team(but not a player) came up to me because he saw my authentic Saints helmet. He asked me if I wanted him to take it in the locker room at halftime to get some of the players to sign it....I was like, **** YEAH, that would be awesome!! He then told me that the Saints were gonna "throw this game, because they didn't feel like they needed the win". I couldn't believe he said that, but he did. I had no idea it would turn out to be the truth. And he never came back to me to take my helmet with him, either.

I was literally SCREAMING at Haslett and Brooks for most of the first half. I believe the score was 33-3 at the half. I remember Stallworth tying his shoe on the bench, and I screamed his name, and he actually looked up at me and gave me a head nod. lol Haslett and Brooks never turned around.

When they came out after halftime, and still played horrible, I was SO disgusted, I couldn't even scream anymore. I just sat there, brooding.

Here's McNabb doing the "Aaron Brooks" in Madden 07.

We were 3-4 coming off a bye. We didn't need the win? Wow.

SERIOUSLY! I couldn't freakin believe this dude told me that when he walked out to the sideline with the players and the rest of the staff. No one else was around him when he came over to me, but, yeah, before the game even starts, the players don't care about the win???!!! Unbelievable.....

I remember that game like it was yesterday, it was in San Deigo of course and the Chargers had Drew Brees and I thought at the time we could beat The Chargers team at the time, I mean I knew they were good and all but this kid Drew Brees was just amazing that day, he just torched us that day and our secondary and I think it was Haslett at the time who later said that we played dumb but hard and some little stupid comment like that he was capable of, but it never dawned on me that that kid Brees would become what he become in this town never not in a million years you know.

I never thought in 2004 that Brees woul come anywhere near this town or the Saints , but here he is a Saint and playing MVP football on this team this year, he has to be our best QB since Archie Manning, he has that ability to lead a team.

Archie had it but never could show it consistently, Hebert should it but couldnt contnue it in the playoffs, Brooks wasnt a leader at all in his time here, but Brees has been that leader we need, he is that type of QB we want to have.
and we have been rewarded by him being here.

God Bless you Drew Brees, you have done well in your time here, By God you have done more in 1 year then Brooks did in 6 years.

I was there. Brooks threw the ball right in my direction. I couldn't believe it. I also, left my very good binoculars in the stands. Arggghhhhhhh. At least we got Drew out of San Diego.
