With Malcolm Brown gone and Onyemata suspended it seems DAlan and Ryan Nielsen will have to earn their money in the first half of the season.

We needed a true NT before Onyemata’s suspension. Onyemata, Tuttle, and Roach are all 3-tech’s that can play NT in spot duty but not for a prolonged period.

That’s why we were getting gashed against the Eagles when Brown was out last year because Tuttle was getting continuously washed out on the nose.

I think we already had a shopping list for when guys start shaking loose from other camps, this just adds a spot to the list.

I’ll take vulnerabilities in our run defense over those in our pass defense (unless we’re playing the Titans 3 times in our first 6 games)
I think we can mask that issue better than masking young CBs

This takes no importance away from sorting out CB2, just adds another serious hole. This is a big loss. Onyemata is a dude and we have no D linemen equal to or even close. I’m sure the FO will figure something out, but whatever that “solution” is won’t equal his ability.

Bills release Nazair Jones

The only prototypical NT we have on the roster is Lorenzo Neal Jr. and he is an undrafted rookie. I'd sure feel better if we'd sign a proven vet if one becomes available when roster cut downs start.
