I haven't heard but I'm sure there's gotta be some players tired of the close but no cigar syndrome going on in Dallas....

Spencer, maybe Butler. That's all I can really see coming over.

I don't want any of them..maybe Spencer but i think hell be too pricey for us and now that Rob Ryan is DC i can see Martez Wilson getting coached up the same way Spencer was. Martez will play SOLB in this scheme...rather than WILB.

Why do you think so? I could see him dominating in the same role as Bruce Carter did in Dallas. The problem is though, that leaves Hawthorne without a starting job.

Don't like the hiring of Rob Ryan. Defense will still be bottom of the NFL!!

Spencer is almost a sure thing.

Ware is still under contract.

Loomis won't spend the money on Ratliff with Bunkley on the roster.

Ryan would have to push hard for Butler and he'd have to come cheap. Saints already have to many middle of the road LB's on the roster to go after him.

Outside of Carr an Claiborne, that secondary is awful.

Now, probably end up seeing a lot of interest in Sheldon Brown form Cleveland. He could come cheap and played well under Ryan.

And the surprise name of free agency...

That's right. Ryan pushed to get him on the Browns and with his good relationship with Payton and Loomis I could see it happening.

Hawthorne will be given another year. Saw the saints taking a peek @ Zavier Gooden. We can get him in the late round allowing him to come in and compete with Hawthorne for the WILB position. Kid can play special teams and will probably run a 4.44 in the 40.

I have more confindence in Martez to play OLB now with Rob Ryan coming in and coaching them up. Much like Spencer benefited i think Martez will do the same.

Contray to popular belief Rob Ryan does not run a 1 gap system. In Granthams system i compared Martez to Alex Ogletree. Which was why i saw him as a better fit @ WILB. With Ryan i see Martez best fit as a SOLB.

I believe the players agents will have more influence over where they go than Ryan.

I sure hope so, I missed Fujita, I will never forget what he said to Peyton during the Superbowl.

Ummm, is he even a FA? If not, then no.

He will be FA this year an with his injury and a new coaching staff, I doubt they plan on resigning him

When he was in town for Gleason during the Super Bowl, he said he doesn't think his career is over and he can play a few more years as long as he doesn't reinjure his neck.

I'm saying the Saints could take a chance on him. He would be super cheap and could be a solid back up and a good locker room guy.

WOW!

I love the idea.....if we get Spencer to be the pass rusher in front of Fugita, that would pretty much resemble the Fugita Bobby McCray combo. And that combo made Greer to play at ProBowl level....

Man I hope he can still play......we never had anybody close to him since he left for Cleveland.
