Does the Butler signing change what we do with #15 now? (1 Viewer)

There is no one outside of the top 3 who would start over a healthy Brown. Faulk would be a back up guaranteed THIS YEAR. To be honest if you remove draft status, Brown would have the inside track on Lane Johnson as well who is being heavily hyped due to the lack of 1st round tackle talent.

I disagree 100% with this.

We trade back, go BPA in the first, and take WR Aaron Dobson in the second. Dude is gonna be an animal in the league.

Lane's potential is through the roof. Come on now, dude was a qb until 2 years ago. Moving ahead of chargers or phins to get him, will be tough

I hope not. As bad as our pass rush has been, you cant have enough of those guys. If Jarvis Jones is there at 15, I think it's a no-brainier. If not, I think trading back and getting a S, CB, NT, or OT might be the way to go. Getting Butler may make that decision a little easier. I mean, he does have a pretty nice burst out the gate and can get to the QB. At the very least, Butler's a legit pass rush specialist. At best, he's like an Elvis Dumervil. I actually see a lot of the same traits Gallete has, in Butler. Theyre almost the same guy. Either way, I think the pick should go to improving the D.

I hate BPA, how many have we drafted because of BPA, Jenkins, P-Rob??

How about if no guys are there in our board when it gets to pick 15, we look into trading down?

exactly....bpa is a lazy way of picking. look at what miami got out of picking bpa Jake Long instead of picking need which would have been trade down for ryan. They had no qb at the time....pick a qb...not bpa. Now they have nothing to show for.

we need a bonified pass rusher ...We are waaaaay over a decade without having one. That's terrible.

Bushrod never walks if Payton didn't think they had his replacement or was confident in someone already on the roster. I am not worried about LT, Payton has consistently plugged people in there and will scheme(chips) to keep Drew clean. I can see the Saints spending a mid round pick on an offensive linemen, I would be shocked if they went LT with pick 1.

I think if the usual suspects are off the board by 15, like Dion Jordan, Jarvis Jones, Mingo, Olgetree(could be possible) his stock is rising with rumors the Giants really like him. We could go safety or CB. I think both our safeties Harper and Jenkins will have one more year to show their game changers, Harper, good player, overpaid though.

A lot is going to depend on whether we sign Nnamdi or Porter, I think either or, we probably will go Austin, Safety or Olgetree.

 You missed this interview with Payton:
If you ask me what keeps me up at night, there would be two areas: how are we going to improve our pass rush and how are we going to be at left tackle?"
Payton said that before the Victor Butler signing. I assume he's a little bit less worried about our pass rush now but still tossing and turning at night about the hole at LT.
