Wow. I like going to other boards after a Saints win, not to troll, just to read opposing fan's opinions on the game. In doing so, you're bound to run into a couple of threads all about how "The refs just gave this game to the Saints." I mean you can make that argument for any team in any loss. But I've never seen fans so bitter as these Dolphin fans. Wow, I know it was a hard loss for them, I've been there for some Saints losses like that but wow. They are bitter.

Seems to me like the referees had money on the Saints and their spread.

1) Sharper DID fumble into the endzone on that interception that Ted Ginn caused.

2) Right before halftime ONLY 5 SECONDS LEFT, the receiver's knee was DOWN before the endzone but the refs called a TD, giving them a score. We had to challenge it and all of this stopped the clock. If the refs make the OBVIOUS CORRECT CALL, the player is down, and the 5 seconds runs out and we go into halftime up 24-3.

3) Camarillo's penalty in our final drive. That wasn't a forward pass. He didn't throw it AHEAD of him, he threw it SIDEWAY's. Can't that also be interpreted as a LATERAL PASS which is completely legal? What a bogus call.

4) Then in the same drive, the Dolphins spike the ball with 1 second left. Suddenly, referees want to end the game and come up with a mysterious motion penalty and end the game for us without giving us a chance to score a final TD.

5) The fumble right before the half. Bess was down....it was clear. It just seems like the refs were playing against us. Felt like they didn't want the Fins to screw with the spread.

Coulda sworn I saw the linesman pull a Fleur De Lis out of his *** at one point.

The NFL needs to put in a 10 second run off for situations like the one that happened right before the half. The Saints were out of timeouts and if the correct call is made on the field there is no way they get down there to spike the ball or run a play. Instead the clock is stopped and they get to run another play. They should have to either use a TO, which they did not have, or there should be a run off.

Saints fans dont talk BS when you know you lucked out hardcore on this one. Take the win and fall to the angry Falcons next week. Good luck, try winning games with Breesus' legs again.

Some of them are being a bit logical about it, but for they most part they are angry. I kinda feel bad for them. Plus there's one Saints fan being a total troll.

Hey genius, the booth reviews all plays within 2 minutes of the end of each half, my wife knows this.

haha let them cry about it, we won. our team is better. if they need to make excuses tell them to come talk to the who dat whooligans about it. we'll handle it.

I had no idea penalties could be worth 13 points...

Fact is there were plenty of horrible calls to go around, the loser was bound to be the one whining about it, thank goodness OUR guys didn't quit like they did!

I still think that if the replay machine works, the first half looks more like the second half.

you can copy and paste this after every week.

the only one I had an issue with was the Colston catch at the end of the half. they get it right.....then we go to the half at 24-3.

other than that...the refs were bad for both teams. there were holds on both teams. late hits..etc...incompetent refs screw both teams equally.

and the title of this thread is "Dolphin fan overreactions" LOL....

that Bess play was insignificant in the grand scheme of things.

I agree. We can make arguments for plenty of holding calls, especially the one on Vilma during Ricky's 68 yd TD. Or the infamous replay machine. Who cares if the Dolphins didn't directly get points out of it. We're not so backed up. Drew probably doesn't throw that pick. It's all moot points really. But I understand them wanting to blame someone for their team just falling apart after 28 minutes.

What do you mean? They reversed that TD and that's when Brees had to dive in to get the points.

The Refs didn't let the Dolphins fumble and throw interceptions. I get that the Refs made calls that changed the game but it works both ways. It doesn't help that Jason Taylor and Will Allen left the game either.

The Colston catch at the one yard line would have been reviewed regardess of the on field ruling. Your coach called a timeout and we changed our mind about kicking the FG.

Dolphins fans should be blaming their coaches and play calling for that second half debaucle.

they were 21$56 winning 24 -3 ... they cant make excuses ... really

they need to shut the 4674 up

refs? look at the first replay ... mal function lol

I keep hearing dolphins fans complain about the "illegal forward pass" call. I wasn't a flag because the ref thought he threw it forward, its a flag because you cant purposefully throw the ball out of bounds to stop the clock. It was the right call that could have been explained better by the ref.
