Don’t you dare blame Jameis (2 Viewers)

The people taking up for Jameis are absolutely ludicrous. No Jameis did not lose the game, but he did nothing to help us win ether

Questions we should be asking:
Why has the offensive line suddenly become horrible?
Why were we throwing the ball when all we needed to do was eat the clock?
We never got any leverage after Carr went out; 4/5 punts
Grupe did not lose us the game, even if he made the FG Green Bay still had plenty of time to go down the field and score the TD they eventually got anyway

All we can hope is with a week of gameplanning with Jameis as the QB1, he produces better. We don't even need him to win the games, just manage the game and move the ball.

People are expecting JW to play like a serviceable backup qb. He is not a starting caliber quarterback and he is closer to a bottom tier backup than a top flight one. He is a good team mate but can he be relied on to help the team win?

My bigger issue is us failing to score the 3rd TD at the end of the first half when we were inside the 10.
Not sure why we didn’t try to run it in at the end of that drive. The packers were playing it soft. A TD there would have iced the game.

Yeah. That's what I said. I don't understand why my stating that I wasn't expecting much from him until he gets some reps with the A team considering our OL woes was perceived as making excuses for him.

I see people submitting that he should be allowed to play his game , but he won't have time to do that, either .

Long story short, stats are stats, but sometimes they arent stats until they are stats...but even those stats are taken with a grain of salt becuase of the statistical nature of those stats.
That's some convoluted stuff.

Is this a philosophy problem, like one of those 'trees falling in a forest where no one is around' kind of things?

Don't set us riddles the morning after a bad loss, we're not emotionally ready...

I mean, he kinda has though.

Listen man, we don't need a Jameis-apologist for this situation.

We need an escapologist to get the Saints out of the current situation.

Good luck to whoever fills in for Carr the next few/several weeks. Let's just promise ourselves we won't end up with Trevor Siemian / Ian Book this time, ok?

That lives and dies at the feet of Peter Carmichael, Jr.

Who is making an excuse. You are saying that he has played in the same system and I’m telling you that he hasn’t and anyone could see that. He had to learn a new offense 3 straight seasons. Saying he has been in this system 4 years is an incorrect statement

And who was overwhelmed? He came into the game cold and proceeded to get horrible play calling from Sneaky Pete (probably under DA's orders). Seems like the way some of yall look at the game changes based on who the QB is. Lol
Like I said, you’re making excuses. Again, Jameis has been our backup longer than he’s been our QB1. Those systems you keep trying to act like drastically changed were pretty much the same since he’s been on the team.

You act like Payton and Carmichael didn’t design the offense together. Pete isn’t some new hire. The terminology wasn’t dramatically switched out when Carmichael became the OC. If that were true, you’d have heard more from skills players who’ve been on the team the same amount of time as Jameis, how different the new calls/terminology were from years past.

I never said all the blame is on Jameis. I don’t think most of the blame should be on him. But he does‘t get a pass like he’s some rookie with no feel for the skills players on the team or the system he’s called to execute. If he’s still having issues playing w/in the system, then he is of no use to us.

To give you your credit, you've been building up the pre-excuses for any Jameis failure since the first game of this year. All the references to 'since 2021' haven't exactly been hard to spot 🤣

It's real devotion to the cause on your part.
