Don’t you dare blame Jameis (2 Viewers)

I’ve always believed JW could be a solid NFL back up qb, however, I’m no longer certain. Where would u rank him as a backup?

Love having Jameis on the team, but these Winston apologist threads are old and ridiculous. I’ll be glad when we don’t have to hear from this faction anymore.

Anyone with even a semi-trained eye can see why Carr is paid what he’s paid and why it’s universally accepted that Winston sits behind him.

Jameis was not the primary reason we lost this game. Probably not the secondary reason.

Primary was playcalling. Yes, the Oline sucked. But Carr scored 17 points with the same oline that Winston did jack sheet with.
Carr was given an assemblage of a running game in the first half. Winston was given a few run plays here and there the whole second half. Over 95% of the plays were passes. GB feasted off this. Ate that line up. Winston didn’t have much time to pass until the final drive.

I think IF this goes on a slide, the fans will just be appreciative if they fire Allen and Carmichael. Theres hope in that, even if its not this year. We still remember what its like to think about next year, every year. But you continue on with Allen if we hit 3-7, 4-7ish and hope becomes a 4 letter word.
I think Sean wants back in. That's why he tanked 70 points to the fins.

Welp. Good news is Jameis gets a chance to prove yall wrong. Strap in! Shirts fenna get real!

Jameis Time!!!

What game u we’re watching Carr went 10-16 100 yards in 3 qtrs

Yes because the team being in full control of the game had absolutely nothing to do with Carr’s output nor did Winston needing to be aggressive have to do anything with his.

Come on now. This is absurd. Sub-amateur level analysis.

Our offensive line play collectively is awful, our running game is non-existent (an issue that could be resolved rather easily with Kamara's return this week), our TE production leaves a lot to be desired , and while our defense has played their arses off, they need to generate more pressure b/c the back line can only hold up and play great for so long, which lead to those egregious defensive penalties late in the game.

Yeah Winston didnt lose the game, but he certainly didnt do anything to win it either...he actually played better than what i anticipated he would do, but if Carr is going to be out an extended amount of time, idc if Mahomes was our QB, this Oline is going to get any QB out there killed. I get the bit to defend him, but he also appears timid at times too...he has the weapons to do damage, the team just needs to find a way to protect whomever is throwing the ball and do it yesterday.

Winston had more TDs in the game against the Rodgers-led Packers with Davante Adams at WR than Carr has all season.

There, I made a factual statement totally devoid of any emotion.

Yes because having a renown, HOF caliber NFL play caller had nothing to do with that anomaly output. 😂

Jameis' only hope as a QB is no risk it no biscuit - he had success in that offense from a production standpoint - but he just threw entirely too many INTs. If you want Jameis to put up numbers, you are going to accept that he is going to throw INTs in the process. When he plays game manager, the offense is stagnant, and he has virtually no effectiveness.

They arent going to allow him to be Tampa Jameis here. In a wide open, super risk based offense, he can win you games, but he will also lose you an equal amount of games. That is why Taysom is the answer going forward. Allen is going to play defense and kick field goals. He is perfectly fine winning and losing 12-10 games. Jameis isnt the guy to win 12-10 games.
