Donte Stallworth offers his opinion (1 Viewer)

He mentions no accountability and no justice. How ironic.
30 day sentence for killing a man while driving drunk.

I'm not sure why that's ironic. The 30 day sentence wasn't his call. He doesn't make the rules. Blame the justice system if you have a problem with that.

they can have their opinions and i can choose to ignore them like i try to, but if the whole 3 hours of an nfl game turns in to a political circle jerk. ill be over sports. i tune in to games to watch 3 hours of football. not to hear politics. if i wanted that id turn to cnn or fox news

do you think players are going stop in the middle of a game and start arguing politics on the field??

Coin tosses and overtime will be replaced with a rousing debate. The home team gets to choose the topic. The visiting team gets to choose either for or against. Huzzahs to the Victor!

I wonder things like this too. What do they perceive as "talking politics." Who/what is the political boogeyman they've conjured up in their heads.

I want examples. Someone already mentioned slogans (I'm assuming Black Lives Matter or I Can't Breathe). But those will blend in with the advertising banners and be cancelled out. Not to mention they're misclassified as political issues to begin with.

So what else constitutes talking politics, why do they think it will happen during the game, and if it does - why do they think it will persist for the duration of the game?

Why create fake sources of anxiety then threaten to run from them.

But you're not ignoring it. You're whining about it to anonymous people.

People have opinions, even athletes. Yeah, you're going to need to get over it because this has been the case since sporting events first began and I don't see it changing any time soon.
sports are sports. art is art. plays are plays. movies are movies.

i don't see anything wrong with what has been posted.

we, as humans, read far too much past what is literal.

blacks, whites, hispanics, indian, brown, red, gold, platinum etc., like to do what they do for entertainment. this is a non issue. politics outside of politics shouldn't be a part of anything. this isn't 1984, yet, so we have liberties to want to watch or participate in what we want.

quit trying to make a mountain out of an anthill. we know the problems around us for injustice, but this has nothing to do with it. majority of people don't care if people cross their heart, kneel, or even whack their balls sitting down.
