Draft: Saints looking at Cleaver, likely TE/H-back candidate (1 Viewer)

All three Razorback 'backs were great college players. From games I watched, I don't recall Hillis being horribly slow either.

What's the highest aggregate position that three backs from the same school have been drafted, in the same year?

Highest aggregate? Wouldn't you want to know the lowest instead, or the lowest average?

Denz, I follow you. Mathematically you're right of course. Add up the draftee positions and the lowest sum total wins.

It just sounded 'right' to say highest.

More to the point, anyone got an answer?

I don't have an answer for you right now, but props for articulating that questions so well. We need more of this stuff, baby! :worthy:

Why would you be interested in lowest so much?

In the draft, 1 > 2, but is numerically lower.

Sort of like choosing a differential. The lower the gear the higher the number. In this case of course, the lower the number, the higher the pick. I was thinking in terms of numbers and not the more abstract "draft pick".

wouldn't it have been in 2006 with USC Reggie bush going 2, and what's his name going to TN High up.

For every legitimate player the Saints could select, there are a dozen smokescreens. I'll believe who will be in a Saints uniform next year after the Saints' pick is announced for each round.

If your looking for a versatile player with HB/TE/FB experience the Saints should target Jacob Hester. Not a homer pick, he`s very good player stats don`t lie.

And thats in the SEC. He was not a full time starter at HB and he still gets over 1000 yards rushing.

The question was which three backs, rather than just two. Two would be Auburn's Ronnie Brown & Carnell Williams in 2005, but no other RB from the school was drafted that year.

I am not impressed with the tight ends in this draft, the front office may feel the same way, that would explain the shockey interest.
