A graphic just went up on on NFL Network right before the game kicked off. Drew has 2,200 plus yards of passing. That means he is less than 300 yards short of being on pace for 5,000 yards passing, DESPITE the balanced attack of the Saints this year. After watching our first drive for a touchdown, I'm feeling really good about our finish to the season. If this is one of the better defenses, in one of the harder places to play, we are in good shape.
HOWEVER, it is a 60 minute game, and this one isn't won, yet. I still have tremendous hope for the season based on what I'm seeing. It is entirely possible that we could see 5,000 yards AND a deep run into the playoffs.
It certainly isn't beyond the scope of possibility for him to end up MVP of regular season AND Super Bowl.
Again, there are still 8 games to be completed before the playoffs. Cautious optimism, here.
