Right. This is the domino we need to fall before anything else substantial can happen, won't know exactly how much wiggle room we have left to work with until the deal is finalized. (and hopefully it's as team friendly as it was being reported to be)

I think they had to wait until the new CBA was agreed to before working out the details. I'm sure they knew the general numbers long ago, but how it would be structured would depend on the new CBA.
