His first possession under center, was one to forget. Chargers safety Derwin James picked off Brees. No. 9 forced the pass into double coverage.
On the Saints third drive of the game, Brees helped orchestrate a scoring drive. Mixed in with a Taysom Hill fake punt call for a first down, Brees completed five passes on the drive. Alvin Kamara topped the drive off with a 2-yard score. Brees found Michael Thomas for a 2-point conversion. The Saints took an 8-7 advantage. ...
