PHILADELPHIA -- All week long, in the video room, on the practice field, chess games were going on.
Here in Philadelphia, cornerbacks Asante Samuel and Sheldon Brown were studying pass routes they might be seeing Sunday, from folks like Devery Henderson, Marques Colston, Robert Meachem, and at the same time, trying to calculate what direction the football may be going once it leaves the hand of Drew Brees.
Back in New Orleans, it was Brees doing some calculating of his own, calculating on what slight openings Samuel or Brown might surrender, inside or outside, to one of his targets and from what formation.
