Exactly.

But to hear the NFL sports media tell the story you'd swear it was Matty McDirty Pants who was making all those stats. :aargh:

The Saints did get that kind of press coverage when they had a winning record. They generally don't try to hype teams with losing records. They want to create a narrative that generates anticipation for playoff games.

Win, and the media will notice.

I don't care about the media, but that's pretty crazy. Proud to have him as our QB and represent our city.

If the concern is media coverage, that's what this is about. The media does report facts. They tell stories and sell narratives.

What's the narrative with Brees and the Saints? Brees is awesome, yet the team still has a losing record? Again? It's as tired for the media as it is for the fans. If we win next week there will start to be some noise. Win another and threaten a run, then the media can sell that narrative and talk about Brees leading his team.

Regardless, Brees is unbelievable. His accuracy under duress is insane. Give him time and he's literally unstoppable.

Homer or not, Matt Ryan is having a great season too.

He is 2nd in just about every category, just narrowly behind Drew.

But he's not first.

Interesting theory, but it makes no sense.

We're talking about individual player's stats, NOT team stats.

To proclaim the greatness of a player by plastering and promoting his personal stats all over the screen only to ignore another player with MUCH BETTER personal stats just reeks of stupidity.

How does this omission and foolishness benefit the league one bit?

Just give the numbers and let the fans of the NFL determine who deserves top billing.

I bet that's what his mommy calls him, too.

yeah but they were throwing his name into the mvp race when that team was only 5-3

that is ridiculous

at 6-4 it is even worse

so if they go 9-7, are we seriously going to be talking about Ryan as an MVP candidate?
