This and some change will get you a cup of coffee at McDonald’s. It is really irrelevant, as you also need to consider it was Payton’s first 3 games as a head coach. So what? It means nothing!

And also, Brees came in cold as the starter to a new system from jump. A lot of things to consider.

I think it is also fair to say Drew had better offensive talent around his his first 3 games.
The combination of Duece and Bush is better than the combo of Jones and Kamara, Colston and Horn are worlds better than our current recieving corps, cant remember who played TE, but they Gotta be better than whats here now.

I pointed this out in another thread after the loss to the Panthers.

We have to treat this season as 2006 again. It took our offense till midseason to show signs of what it was going to be.

I also said people were spoiled by the 15 years of Brees. It's hard to be patient after all those years but it's something we have to be.

Stop trying to make yourself feel better by comparing 2 totally different qbs. Jameis is a game manager Drew is a hall of famer.

What happened to..."Brees has the offense congested", "JW will open up the backfield" and "we cannot take away 5000 yards and 30 tds". I feel like some of these topics come up to be funny.

Brees and Payton along with most of the offensive was brand new to them. Personnel changes/coach changes all need to be considered. We were basically rebuilding from scratch. This team is the same as they were when Brees left when most ppl want him to retire because he was hindering the team. The saints NEVER had an all star team. Our passing attack was successful because Brees was our QB. Marques Colston and Jimmy Graham were our only GREAT receivers (still consider JG a receiver. DC), the rest of them were average at best. Kinda like now.

Ppl should stop excusing Winston for his poor play. He needs to improve bottom line. There's no excuse. Our whole team is already built with ok receivers/basic o line. Winston needs to adjust his timing...bottom line. That's the only reason we were successful and Brees probably had the quickest release in the NFl.
