THE biggest pain in the butt.
I'm using my hammer drill and some
Milwaukee 3/16 concrete hammer bits.
Refinishing my front steps and slapping up a new railing. Got 11 holes done and the 12th one is a slow burner. My luck I targeted rebar but that hole is happening.
Just to give u an idea, I'm on drill bit #4 of a 5 pack. I've drilled through concrete plenty of times but holy smokes this front porch slab and steps will be here on Earth for eternity.

Still remember having to break out a set of old 1950s staircases for a wrap around deck. Most miserable frigging experience. That 16 pound sledge just got laughed at by those stairs

If it's as bad as it sounds, consider borrowing or renting a gas powered demo saw and cutting it before beating it with the sledge.

Or a skidsteer with grapple bucket.
