He was far from great of course but i thought a big part of the hate on him was that we could (should) have had Eddie George instead

What they didn't understand was Archie wasn't the issue.
It was the team around him that was the issue.

I remember well, watching Muncie & Galbreath (Thunder & Lightning) running through defenses back then. They had good personnel on offense, they just never had a complete O-Line to make the offensive machine work, like we have today.
