Dumbest traditions or rules in sports (1 Viewer)

The shootout in soccer tournaments.

The cliches in the NFL drive me crazy:

"We gotta execute!"
"We just didn't to enough to win."
"Last team with the ball."
"Control the line of scrimmage."
"Somebody's gotta step up and make a play!"
"Taking care of the football."
"Next man up!"
"One play at a time."

OmG! It's the best sport in the world though!

Aluminum bats in college baseball

We can put a man on the moon but we still cant make an aluminum bat that doesnt sound silly

I really cannot get over why a fat 80 year old baseball coach has to get dressed in a full baseball uniform.

Another one i cant understand is why an extra point must be kicked after the final play of the game when the team already won.

What are some rules you guys cant wrap your heads around?

Heading says Rule or Tradition.

The dumbest tradition in sports is cheering for the Falcons.

“Here’s a look at what’s coming up on the visa halftime”

Is it the same thing that comes up at EVERY halftime?

Scores & highlights
Talk about the game you’re watching for a couple minutes
Maybe talk a bit about the big game being played later that day
If December talk about playoff scenarios

It only takes 2 seconds to say but it irks me all the same

Bunting against the shift in baseball. If you are going to leave one side of the diamond completely empty you darn right I'm doing everything I can to hit it there so don't get mad when i do it.

The bands playing during college football games. I really don’t need to hear the Empire Strikes Back theme 50,000 more times, thanks.
