I've been using Brasero to burn dvd's, however when I try to burn a 7 gig image (.iso) to a dual-layer disc Brasero doesn't seem to recognize it as an empty disc. The drive is a DL burner that I used to have on my windows system, and it works with dvd5. I've also run into this with GnomeBaker. Is this a general problem with linux that it doesn't recognize DL-DVDs, or am I missing a setting or something? What can I do to get the system to burn to DVD9's?

Thanks

I'm starting to think I got some bad dvds. I successfully made 3 coasters with my xp system. Maybe there's a reason Ubuntu won't even recognize them.

Thanks for the link though. I followed the first link on it and learned how to mount an iso with linux. I didn't know you could do that.
