Since joining the Saints (2018/19 seasons), and playing in a limited role, Washington has averaged 6.1 ypc. (on 35 rushes for 214 yds).

I see him as a gamer.

:gosaints:

You know, I used to laugh at other teams fans for endlessly slating their starters at QB, RB etc and arguing loudly that the backup should play instead. Despite clearly having no insight of who is better at practice and just overall as a football player, day in and day out.

And yet now, here we are in a sad place, where people are ripping apart their favourite team's players over 'lack of commitment', 'attitude problems' and so on. All of which, as far as I can see, is a narrative created and disseminated by the same fans, purely because some players did not achieve their ridiculously impressive performances of previous years. I mean, how dare Kamara get injured and play through some pain when he did come back? How dare he regress toward the mean after so significantly outperforming it in years 1 and 2?

If you need to see whether Kamara is the guy we should be utilising, just listen to Romo in play by play every time the O lines up. He'll tell you that the offense is geared around stressing the defence into impossible choices over how to cover/account for both MT and Kamara. He's not looking at yards per carry, because that's not what determines who is good or great. It's what the player does to the defense.

Dwayne Washington? Puh-leese ???

I don't recall Washington doing anything special during real game time. He is absolutley no threat out of the backfield (has one catch to date with us). The coaches certainly agree. He's an easily replaceable 3d string RB. Kamara (who also caught 81 passes last year even though he missed some games) is special and a game changer. We don't win anywhere near 13 games last year if Washington is featured. The defenses could triple MT and laugh

I really think it comes down to knowing the "assignments" of the offense. Because he is talented.
I dont see why he doesnt see the field more, even before murray got here.
