New Orleans native Quintin Mikell talks about going against Saints on Sunday
by The Times-Picayune
Thursday September 17, 2009, 5:35 PM

On quarterback Drew Brees: "Drew Brees is a real smart quarterback. He's got a good arm, and he gets the ball out on time. He's good at recognizing coverages and seeing blitzes and stuff, so we've always had trouble playing him."

On whether anything about the Saints offense surprised him:
"Not really, I turn on the film, and it looks like fast-break city.

Philadelphia Eagles safety Quintin Mikell, a New Orleans native who played high school ball in Oregon and collegiately at Boise State.

Nice article, but I don't get how he's a New Orleans native. Where exactly did he go to school? Oregon??

From Wikipedia

Mikell returned to his native New Orleans, Louisiana for the first time after Hurricane Katrina on October 13, 2006; the day before the Philadelphia Eagles would play the New Orleans Saints. He was heart broken by the vast devastation and conditions of disaster still remaining one year after the hurricane of his grandmother's home and her overall neighborhood. Philadelphia NBC 10 profiled his visit on an October 14, 2006 telecast

While on the Eagle's web page, check out Sean McDermott's press conference from today. He doesn't take the Saints offense lightly!

The Eagles have a nice web page.

Yea, saw it earlier today. The Eagles have a lot of respect for us, and vice versa, I'm sure.

In the last 3 meetings 2 in '06 and '07 the Eagles have not really put the clamps on us. We went for 373, 435 and 346 yards in those games, so they have'nt been defensive struggles. The Eagles are known for taking chances on defense, that could be very dangerous with this years version of Mr. Brees.
