Apparently Hood likes a challenge as much as he likes to challenge. He has challenged the Saints and Drew to throw it at him. He said he relishes it. I hope he gets his wish and then some.

Hood and the rest of Philadelphia's secondary have a difficult assignment against the league's top-ranked passing offense.

All-Pro quarterback Drew Brees threw for 4,418 yards, 26 touchdowns and only 11 interceptions. His targets include rookie Marques Colston, who had 70 catches for 1,038 yards and eight TDs, veteran Joe Horn (37-679-4) and Devery Henderson (32-745-5). The Saints also have versatile running back Reggie Bush, who caught 88 passes.

"I'd love to have the opportunity for them to throw the ball at me," Hood said. "If they want to come at me, great. I love it. I relish the chances and the opportunities to get the ball thrown at me."

He better get used to it. I think Payton is marking him in his crosshairs as we speak.

I say we pull Evans or Nesbit on a run first and welcome him properly. He'll be looking for a hood to be an ornament on.

What's he supposed to say?... "I hope they don't notice me out there" Come on, the guys trying to psyche himself up.

Although, the headline, "Eagles replacement CB soils himself over prospect of facing Saints" would've been pretty funny.

Don't fool yourselves...Hood is a solid player. He's not a stud by any means...but he's servicable. We can still easily exploit him, but it will be a challenge.

I dunno what he's supposed to say. I didn't add any extras or try to make it look negative. I just posted what he said.

If it were me I might have said "I'm too short and old and slow to hang".
But if I were him I might have said something like" It's only natural that when a probowler goes down that a team would try to test the replacement. Those guys are tops in the league and I'll need to be prepared for a real test".

The guy isn't short on guts 4sho. Maybe a bit cocky though.

No big deal really. He seems to be a talker but who cares. Hero was Neon Deion. I did some research on him -- walk on at Auburn. Rookie FA that made it with the Eagles. Started two games it looks like this year. 3 Ints in 3 years. Looks like he played less this year than '03 and '04.

Yeah... he's coming up on FA, this is like a job interview... hopefully Drew will keep him from doing well.

But Hood was the number 2 corner... so who is the new number 2, the guy who was 3? Backup to the backup my friend, that's what you exploit.

Sheldon Brown was the #2 corner....Hood was the #3....

Now Hood will be #2 ad Will James (formerly Will Peterson of the Giants) is the #3

Hood is a good solid corner, think of Fred Thomas more physcial and gives up less big plays, in the redzone he's a liability. I'm looking forward to more of 3 wr sets against there corners, cause there dime guy now is a nickel.
