I have to eat crow. When it was announced that Juwan Johnson was being converted to TE, I immediately thought nothing of it and thought he was going to be a camp body and a failed experiement. I am GLAD that I was wrong!! This guy looks like a legit threat and I am glad to have him in on our team!! Who Dat!!!!

I don't think that having minimal or zero expectations for a UDFA necessitates "eating crow".

Otherwise I'm pretty sure nearly 100% of the Saints fanbase would have to eat crow over Pierre Thomas. Until fans saw what he could do in preseason, I'm willing to bet there were not a whole bunch of "watch out for Pierre Thomas!" threads on this forum, particularly considering the Saints drafted a running back in the fourth round.

Looks like we found our next great red zone target. When MT returns Winston is going to have some options in the red zone.

Holy crap I didn't realize JJ was a Penn State kid, not only that he grew up here in NJ, not far from where we have our weekend campsite.....awesome.

JJ played great. He is easily our best receiving TE. My only disappointments from yesterday are the injuries to McCoy and Davenport and Big Fish's performance.
I didn't know Davenport was injured. Is it anything serious?

The biggest difference is that no one was really counting on PT to do anything because we had Reggie, Deuce, and Pittman whom we drafted in the 4th. PT just came out and blew people away, whereas JJ played WR last year didn't look good at all. TE was position of need for us so there was some eyes on JJ to an extent, but i'm glad that he balled out.
