We all knew this was probably coming, he wasn't the LSU AD's guy, and Orgeron simply isn't a good gameday X's and O's coach. I wish they could keep him around the program to help with recruiting, but I doubt it will happen.

I know that whoever they hire will be in a position to win another title next year. With the guys coming back from injury, we'll be loaded.

Not sure if I fully understand throwing out notice of a lame-duck coach, but I suppose it helps quell concerns of recruits and helps peak the interest for potential replacement candidates?
