Albert Breer of NFLN

Took Reed a few days to come to a final decision. Nnamdi seems to be doing the same.

The good news is that Reed joined the team he most recently had a visit with. There have been no reports of Nnamdi visiting elsewhere.

Disappointing.... was hoping that he could finish his career in his hometown. I think he was looking for the biggest final paycheck more than anything else though. Asomugha will be looking for at least a 3 year $12 million contract as well. We could only afford one.

Now that he signs with the texans and nnamdi had a meeting scheduled with them what does this mean for us? Maybe he will sign now

And since he didn't sign with us, we can all say that he was too old anyway =)

Huge mistake with the Saints not even kicking this tire.

And talk about a cheaply priced tire.

Yikes.

Nice to know the percentage of missed tackles in our backfield is at least remaining the same. Probably would have increased with Reed back there.

as much as it would have been good for him to be here for a year or 2 (about as long as he would have stayed and been productive) i am glad he is wiped off our board.

i see getting nmamdi as a more impacting, longer term signing for our defense than reed would have been.

i guess we will see what his decision is.

i think we will utilize harper, jenkins and abdul-quddus in ways to work best within their skill sets at safety.

i would like us to retain (cheaper options for depth) bush and mack.

that is not a very weak secondary.

if we don't get nmamdi, i still don't see us landing a major FA in the secondary.
