Just get some DB’s that will stop the bomb, hail Mary’s and also stop the opponent from picking up the long 3rd down passes. You know, when it’s 3rd and 25 and we give up 26 every time.

If we can agree to terms with Apple before the draft, CB will not be a "Need" in the draft. An extension for Jenkins to lower his cap hit would be icing on the cake.

Drew announcing that he is returning has allowed for the offseason to progress and take shape.

The Taysom hype is just to let the league set the market for him and we will match it.

Yeah, the good games that he has had will be viewed favorably by other teams while his bad games are all that fans on here remember. There is a very good chance that we lose 4 players to starter size contracts for other teams.

I like apple and hope he comes back. That said the money would need to be right. Jenkins I think is too expensive so I'd rather have apple than chance missing on a pick.

Always keep the lines of communication open and respectful. He may get a great offer, or the money could dry up fast.

Apple showed he is capable of performing. Then again, Crowley also showed he could perform at one time. Maybe it might not all be on our defense backs, some of that blame should go to Dennis Allen and CSP. The defensive calls at the end of games seem to put our corners in a bad spot.
The one common denominator in this is Dennis Allen. Defense backs come and go from this team and it still performs the same.

Saints start out every year recently playing aggressive with pass rush allowing DBs to excel. As the seasons have worn on, for whatever reasons, injuries, opponents game plans, etc., the pressure on opposing QBs has fallen off exposing the DBs esp in coverage very late in games in both man and zone. The key factor is maintaining the pass rush into the postseason. It’s hard to do without elite speed at DE and LB. Saints have lacked that so have to blitz more leaving the DBs on islands a lot.

Coverage and Pass Rush are as intertwined as the chicken and the egg. I think it was injuries with both. When Lattimore was healthy both Apple and the pass rush were shining.
