I believe the team has done that for years with #8 as well. No one else but Archie Manning has worn that number since Archie was traded away.

I love colston but thats a pretty low bar to retire a number and we would run out of numbers QUICKLY if we retired numbers for that level of career. He had a really good career but there are a lot of people I put in front of him. I'd retire 7,8,9,51,57, and 77 before 12
