Maybe I should have dated my quote. I might have saved you some embarrassment.
Sometime between Dec 3rd 2017 and Feb 20th , 2018 Sean Payton gushes about Taysom to Joe Buck, Troy Aikman in TV production meetings and when asked about the future quarterback of the New Orleans Saints, Sean Payton says, “He’s in the building”.
Aug 29th, 2018 Saints Sign Teddy Bridgewater
So was it Chase Daniel? I doubt it was Daniel but I sure as hell know it wasn't Teddy, Sean was talking about.
So go ahead and laugh your arse off. But after you dry your jocular tears and reattach your arse, tell me who you think Payton was referring to?
All those times I was told that Payton knows a heck of a lot more than me .... You think that might apply in your case?
I'm not a fan of double standards and I hope you are not as well.
Even if you remove option 2 from my list, the combined chances of it being either #1 or #3 are somewhere around 99%, and the chances of it being #4 are somewhere between zero and 1 percent.
The date of the quote actually makes your bizarre assertion that our staff sees Taysom as the QB of the future even less likely than it already was (which was almost infinitely unlikely already).
If he knew in 2017 that Taysom Hill was our future QB, why would we go out and spend a high draft pick acquiring Bridgewater? Then why would we pay Bridgewater more than any backup QB in football after having seen Hill in two offseasons? Then why would we make Bridgewater the QB2 and start him in Brees' absence after Payton had seen Hill in three full years?
There is literally zero reality-based evidence that anyone besides a few obsessed fans see Hill as the future QB of the Saints. It's not going to happen.
Your obsession that everything we are seeing is fake news and that there's a deep conspiracy to make Taysom Hill our future QB despite there being zero evidence that it's the plan is on the level of flat-earthers and anti-vaxxers.
I'll leave you the last word - we shouldn't be cluttering up the Sanders thread with a QB debate anyway.
