For those of you without ESPN Insider, both said we should take Sean Weatherspoon.

I don't know why people like to make links a mystery...esp links to subscription only services.

Edit: Okay, thanks OP for editing in that info for everyone.

I put the link so no mystery. And sorry about that to the other guys...once you log in it stays so I don't even recognize what is and isn't insider, but I edited the first post...

Yeah, I saw that. I edited my comments to thank you for adding it.

I think it'll be easier to find a LB to contribute in the 3rd or 4th round than a DE. 1st round has to be DE at this point, unless both Griffen and Dunlap are gone and they don't think Hughes or those other guys are big enough for 4-3 DE.

...anyway, back to the pick, I really like this pick. Especially after Fujita leaving...

It has been documented that he was sort of a loud mouth at the combine. From what I saw at training camp, it would take one practice for him to get put in his place. Gregg Williams has no mercy.

I'm not comparing the two character wise, but I remember witnessing Malcolm's first training camp practice. Gregg worked him, hard.

Weatherspoon's size and athleticism make him the ideal OLB for Gregg Williams scheme, IMO.

Weatherspoon has a private workout scheduled with Atlanta on 17th March

IMO, Navorro Bowman would actually be the more ideal OLB from this draft for GW's scheme. Bowman is a bit more instinctive and aggressive than Weatherspoon. Bowman truly plays like a heat seeking missile on the field, and that's just what GW's wants out of his LBers.

If I remember correctly, Jenkins was puking in his first practice. A super bowl team with the strong leaders that we have is a perfect spot for a young guy like this.

I don't care how big your mouth is, you don't talk over G. Williams, Vilma, Bress, or Payton...he would fit in fine here.
