You went our of your way to be negative for no reason at all on a Saints Fan Forum.

If that's your opinion that's cool.

But its subjective, If I'm not mistaken, Brees did have a better passer rating and QBR. While also leading the league in come from.behind wins and game winning drives.

If that's not the epitome of phenomenal QB play, then I dont know what is?

Why all of a sudden does the most yards mean your the best QB in the league. Drew has done that Soooo many times and has consistently been over looked.

I could go on for days in why I think Drew deserves this but it doesnt matter if that's your opinion then I'm not going to try and change it.

I just dont know why you went out of your way to be confrontational on a topic that is of supporting the best player this franchise has ever seen.

Was I confrontational with you? It was an opinion. What is wrong with you? But if you want to look at this from last season, Brees had a good case during the first half of the season to be MVP. NO QUESTION. But toward the end, his numbers wasn't up on par with Mahomes. Maybe not all his fault, but he didn't have some good games toward the end, statically. Mahomes continue to put up numbers throughout the season and was still winning games. Be real about this and take your homer hat and glasses off for minute. Since Mahomes is the main comparison. Would y'all trade Brees for Mahomes right now if the Chiefs for some reason wanted to? A few years left of Brees or over 10 years of Mahomes and at similar level of play that he had last year with little drop off.

Brees had a good case during the first half of the season to be MVP. NO QUESTION. But toward the end, his numbers wasn't up on par with Mahomes. Maybe not all his fault, but he didn't have some good games toward the end, statically. Mahomes continue to put up numbers throughout the season and was still winning games. You know what other Brees numbers weren’t up to par with Mahomes’? His turnover numbers. Brees had 6 turnovers for the YEAR. Mahomes had 5 in the Rams game alone and 14 on the year. Mahomes singlehandedly lost them that game because of his recklessness.

As for “putting up numbers and still winning at the end of the year”, they finished the season 3-3 with 2 of those wins coming against a 4-win Raiders team and the other against a Ravens team that went one and done in the playoffs. The other 3 teams were all playoff teams and they went 0-3. Meanwhile Brees went 5-1 in his last 6 games.

Mahomes against 2018 playoff teams: 2-4
Brees against 2018 playoff teams: 3-1
