Make it happen Loomis! We need pass rusher depth badly with Davenport and Rankins constantly banged up. Griffin would be a luxury to have, but if it’s Drew’s last season, then the Saints need to do everything they can to win another Lombardi.

The guy is fighting his personal demons.

I wish him the best. (except when he plays vs. the Saints. LOL)

Go back and look at the playoff game against the Vikings and watch his play. He was very disruptive in the pass and run defense all game. This is a good reason to get him signed.

I agree and very much would love to have him as a Saint.
Having said that, Stephen Hawking would be disruptive against our interior line in the postseason.

Since his priority is team culture and playing for a Super Bowl, hopefully he will sign with us for the same salary as Emmanuel Sanders and Malcolm Jenkins.

If our top three free agent additions look like this....

WR Emmanuel Sanders, 2yr/$16M
DB Malcolm Jenkins, 2yr/$16M
DL Everson Griffen, 2yr/$16M

Would be insane and we would be Super Bowl favorites IMO.

8 million per just doesn’t look like a bargain to me. Guess it’s just the way it is now with contracts.

Borderline Pro Bowl talent at $8M per is a pretty big bargain these days. Especially for a pass rusher. Cam Jordan is making $17.5M per year. They are fairly close in talent and Griffen is two years older.

Just realized all three of these players are the same age and will enter the 2020-21 season 33 years old. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Yea I get that. I’m just getting old. I think Cam makes way too much as well.

You can edit the title.. but If we wind up signing this guy, just know, that his name shall forever be "Evvy Griffey" ... in my mind... and in my heart 4-ever ?
