I have never watched a Christmas show on those 2 networks. But I'll take your word for it that this is the general plot.

This reminds me that I haven't yet seen the best Christmas movie this season, Die Hard.

My wife watches them so, yeah this is pretty spot on. One thing I do give them credit for is the imagery is usually quite beautiful...the stories are almost always the same or similar rehash as above....

Believe it or don't: There are some decent outliers among the Hallmark Holiday movies. Most of them are, yeah, paint-by-numbers plots. A few, though, are a cut above.
