Going into this game, they were all over the Romo and the Cowboys, the Saints had no shot, etc. Well, they can all go to--editing myself here, mods! Seriously, though, they don't know ANYTHING. And tomorrow, this win will be ignored, trust me. The story will be LT's new td record and the Jaguars thumping of the Colts. I cannot tell you all (whom I love) how much I hate the national media right now. GO SAINTS!!!!

I was glad that the commentators kept oraly pleasing the cowgirls. Everytime they said anything good about the cowgirls, we drove down the firld and scored.

Coming into this game, the Cowboys were the hottest team in the NFL. However, it wasn't cause for a coronation. We took care of that in dramatic fashion. We are now the No. 2 seed in the NFC. If we handle our business and the Bears stay with Grossman, who knows?

Except for the guy from the Denver Post that looks like Woody Paige, but isn't. Jim Armstrong. He said we would win, and Brees was the reason. He was called President of the Brees fanclub because he kept talking about how good he was.

Mariotti said we would lose by double digits, and it wouldn't be close. Well, he was right about one thing.

Totally agree. It took them 3 quarters before they finally stopped their preplanned pandering to the Cowboys. As far as they were concerned, the storyline was "Dallas Upset -- Other Team to be Named Later..."

I can understand why many wouldn't expect the Saints to be so good, but I don't understand why any fair, unbiased person, with football knowledge would have made it seem like the Cowboys were so good. We have been forced to watch way too many Cowboy games this year, and they have not been impressive.

Saints could be the best team in the NFC this year. Of course, I would assume an AFC team will win Superbowl this year, regardless, but the Saints might really be best representative for NFC. If you are hoping for an upset Superbowl win, I think you need a QB. Chicago doesn't cut it.

Al Michaels is a real *&$#@. First he called the Saints Team of last year vagabonds (Hello?!) then he said, dejectedly at some point: "Uh, I guess the Saints are for real..."
After that, it was WWL all the way home.

Me and RebSaint caught the game at his place.

Every once in a while he'd turn down SAINTS radio and turn up the TV, just to see what they were saying. I was not impressed. It reeked of Cowboy homerism the entire first half.

Afer a minute or two...TV sound OFF...back to Jim and Hokie and Saints sideline reports from Kenny. I'll take my SAINTS radio homerism over national media garbage any day of the week. Period!

Besides, nobody mangles a phrase like Hokie!

On the NBC pre-game show, Shannon Sharpe said the Saints were "the best team in the NFC." Costas, Collinsworth and Bettis laughed at him, but they weren't laughing at halftime.

And on ESPN this morning, Hank Goldberg picked the Saints the win. As did Bradshaw, who said he'd shave his head (!) if the Saints didn't make the playoffs.

Bottom line: They ain't all bad. And after tonight, trust me, they'll come around. I think we got the whole country's attention tonight.
