Looks like Drew's single season accuracy record will fall

Happy new year fellow who dats!

Brees broke the record in a year in which he threw for almost 5,500 yards and 46 touchdowns. This dink and dunk version of the record by Bradford should come with an asterisk.

For reference, Bradford currently has 3,600 yards and 17 touchdowns.

I've been crunching some numbers on this. Here they are coming into (and not including) today:

2016 - Bradford - 370/519 - 71.291%

2011 - Brees - 468/657 - 71.233%

2016 - Brees - 442/623 - 70.947%

If you factor in Bradford's numbers in the first half today, he's currently sitting at:

2016 - Bradford - 387/541 - 71.534%

Which means, Brees would need to complete his first 13 passes of the day to overtake Bradford. It's definitely doable, but we'll have to wait and see what Bradford does in the second half.

Should it count if a player doesn't play in all of the games?

I'm pretty sure that Ken Anderson missed some games when he set the record back in the 80s. They base it on minimum pass attempts, which I think is set at 200 attempts.

How many completions are over ten yards?

He's currently at 71.5%

So still need a few more incompletions. He just threw a pick.

After the pick by Bradford, he's now 23/31 on the day:

2016 - Bradford - 393/550 - 71.455%

Brees is back on top if he starts 12/12.

After the last drive, Bradford is:

395/552 - 71.558%

Brees now needs to start 14/14 today.
