METAIRIE — The New Orleans Saints are counting on two players that have played a total of 291 NFL games to fill the cleats of a player who has played in just five.
Such is the situation at strong safety, where Roman Harper, a rookie second-round draft choice, earned the starting spot in training camp but was lost for the season when he suffered a knee injury against Tampa Bay in the fifth game of the season.
