Here are some explanations on how to use some of the new site features (Note - We will be adding to this thread as we go).

I’m going to update this thread as I’m able to get screenshots and type out explanations for you guys.

1. Jumping to the most recent posts of a thread.

There’s multiple ways to do this. Option one is to simply tap the time stamp to the right (via computer or tablet) of the thread title.


On mobile, it will likely be just below the thread title.


You can also jump to the last post by opening a thread and selecting “jump to new” near the top of the page.

2. Quoting only a single post is pretty simple. Simply hit the “reply” button on the bottom right of the post you’re trying to quote.

3. Multi-quoting has a few extra steps, but still simple.

First, select the “quote” button on the posts you’d like to quote. You know you’ve added the quote when the “+” turned to “-“.


After you’ve selected all of the posts you’d like to quote, select “insert quotes”, which is located below the reply text box.


That will bring up another smaller window, showing all of the posts you’ve elected to quote. At that point, you can either remove posts...


...and even rearrange them by selecting the three stacked horizontal lines to the right. Simply touch or click on them, hold, and drag up or down to rearrange.


When you are done, select “quote messages” and compose your reply.

4. Changing skins/background colors.

Scroll down to the very bottom of the page. Click on whichever skin you’re currently usi

5. Username changes: Note - this option is only available for a short period of time, in order to prevent Andrus from being bogged down with name change requests.

In order to change your user name, select your mini-avatar up top.


In the drop-down menu, select “username change”.


On the username change page, type in your preferred user name in the “New Username” textbox, then click “save”.


IMPORTANT: Once you’ve changed your username, we ask that you change your title to your old user name so that members will be able to connect your new username with your old one.

In order to do that, from the username change page, select “Account Details” from the menu.


On the Account Details Page, type your previous user name in the “custom title” text box, then press save.

Actually, all that you have to do is post a link to a twitter, youtube video, or just about any other media directly into your post and it will convert automatically. No embedding or additional steps necessary.
With pictures, simply copy and paste them into the post and they will automatically be converted into attachments. Sorry, I should have mentioned this before.

6. Attaching links or meeting pictures and videos.

Embedding- First, select the graphic that looks like 3 square dots with a down arrow on the right.



This will bring up a drop-down box with several useful options. Select “media” from these options.


This will then bring up another box. Insert the URL of the image or video you’re attempting to embed into the text box to the right if “url”. Then press “continue”.


This will then embed the media into your post for you. As you see below.






Linking - if you’d prefer to just link the video, click on the links in the reply box menu.


Type or past the URL of the image/video in the URL box. If you’d prefer the link to say something other than the actual URL (i.e. the name of the video/image) simply type that in the “text” box. Once you’re done, press “insert” and post away!



PLEASE NOTE: The old embed codes will likely not work. In fact, they may actually trick/break the thread code in some cases.

To add just a regular JPG or GIF (and not using the easy Giphy button), you click on the item above that looks like a panorama picture.

You can then either drag and drop in a picture from your hard drive, or click on it, browse and insert.

If you have a URL, you'll see a symbol up top with two circles. click on that, and you can now copy in the URL of the picture.

I was shown an even easier way with images.

Copy Image and Paste.

So, right click on the Image you want, left click on copy image and just paste it in here.

The default text color is #8D8C8C But I don't see a color picture for it.

But you can change it something brighter.

Or this too.

At least, let's see if this works..

Just remember that we have both light and dark styles. I do not recommend using the Font Color feature if the colors you choose are either close to black or light grey, as they won't be legible on the opposite color style. For example, Ward... Take a look at your post in the SR_Grey style.

Well, then you'll just have to read my posts in the original Black. Haha.

Each style has its own font set, but the default font colors automatically convert to work on the other styles. It's only when you choose a color for a font that it won't convert, and then potentially becomes an issue for users of the style that has an opposite background. So don't make me turn off the font color feature.
