the core of their team will still be together, that is the good news. The 4th is a good pick, not overly concerned about a few extra at the end of the 7th

Didn't they sign an Eagles CB that year? Or was that the year prior to losing Lofton?

So in Free Agency we lose JoLonn Dunbar, Carl Nicks, Tracy Porter, Robert Meachem (who all went on to at least start a handful of games before getting injured for their new teams) and Sean Rogers, Aubrayo Franklin.

And get nothing??

We signed a ton of people too. Grubbs, Mack, Lofton, Chamberlain, Bunkley, etc.

Salary is also part of the formula in some way (no one knows for sure what it is) and we signed a lot of big money FA's compared to what we lost.

Looks like the Falcons are going to get a lot of compensatory picks.
2013 NFL Compensatory Pick Projections

I know these are just projections, but still, you should be able to get one keeper out of all those choices.
They lost Lofton (5 yr $27.5 million), Weems (3 yr $4.2 million), James Sanders (1 yr $910,000), Kelvin Hayden (1 yr $890,000)

And picked up no one! So yes they should have those comp picks... What exactly is your point?

His point was well stated, he said they should be able to get one keeper...what's not to understand?

This actually cements what we already know, that Mickey Loomis is the best at what he does.

The Loomis dont need no help from the tyranny that is the NFL.

He doesnt rebuild, he reloads.

So you think it's worth while starting a thread stating that the Falcons should be able to get one guy to stick on their roster with a whole bunch of picks?

Stupid thread and an even worse response!
