Died too young (age 48). The last major article he wrote was the firing of Quinn & Dimitroff:

May he R.I.P.

I’ve always liked Vaughn’s coverage of the Falcons. Sad for his family. Terrible that such a young man passed away. Prayers for his loved ones.

I'm sorry to hear it.

I hate the Falcons, but I don't really mean that. I lived in Atlanta after Katrina, and some of my best friends are there. Their fans (all two dozen of them) have suffered even more than we have.

I just like to "hate" the Falcons. It's nothing more than a good spirited rivalry.

This is really sad.
I hate the falcons, so keep your enemies closer sort of thing. I followed a beat writer for atlanta on twitter for a short time but he was a troll (Leadbutter or something, similar to scooter) and needed a change. I followed Vaughn the same day and never looked back. He was a professional and always a good read. Thoughts and prayers to his family. He died to young and may he Rest In Power.

May you R.I.P. Taken away from this Earth too early. God Bless him and his family.

They think it may have been a suicide, as McClure had been battling depression following the death of some family members recently
