Falcons fans dumping on the Superdome (2 Viewers)

At least our stadium doesnt look like a power rangers morpher from the sky.

What was old Fulton County Stadium known for? Hammerin' Hank broke a little record there, and demolition derbies.

Moon, I take it that among those 7 NFL stadiums you've visited as a fan, Oakland's soon-to-be-former Alameda-County Coliseum and Eagles former and current stadiums the Vet and Lincoln Financial Field, were not among them? Those two stadiums, historically, have been listed or named as most infamous, nastiest, unfriendly to opposing visiting fans not just among NFL stadium bases, but among American professional franchises in general. Oakland's probably the worst, IMHO.
Went to a Raiders- Packers game when they were still in LA. Our group was actively cheering for the Raiders but because I had a Saints cap on they turned hostile when the Raiders started losing. It got so bad the police came and escorted us out for our safety. Truly a bunch of thugs. They were threatening to stab us and I believe they were serious.

Hmmm how old was their last stadium that already needed to be replaced? And ours is still going but we have the dump. Not to mention the lack of revenue in their new stadium. I also noticed that the saints are always on their mind yet we rarely bring up their name. Poor falcons fans would rather talk about the saints than their crummy team.
Their new stadium will stay shiny new for decades without any use. Those seats will last forever.

I have attended NFL/Saints games in 14 different stadiums. Of those that still exist, The Linc, the Levi for the Santa Clara 49'ers, and the stadium in Tampa are nicer than the Superdome in my opinion. On a overall "facilities" list the Superdome is probably in the middle of the NFL, or maybe near the top half of the bottom. Another refresh will put the Superdome back in the top 10-12. There's only so much you can do with it.

BUT, the Superdome is easily #1 when you consider placement of the stadium in the city and the surrounding area. Where else can you WALK out of the stadium and in about twenty minutes be in anything even remotely close to the French Quarter?? I will say ZERO other cities in the NFL have anything close to this. Soldier Field in Chicago and maybe Pittsburgh are the only two cities that come to mind that are walkable to a decent downtown area. Charlotte, maybe. I might be missing a couple, but the French Quarter is unique.

They could not even fill a small corner of the concourse for a draft party. Arthur also has to pay them to show up

WHAT'S THE DEAL WITH THAT STUPID TRAIN NOISE? LIKE WHY!? IT MAKES NO SENSE.

Most apathetic fan base in the league, and they know it. They couldn't come within a thousand miles of our game-day atmosphere if you gave them a brand-new stadium every year. I've been to 7 other NFL stadiums in the NFL, and I prefer our place to any of them. Not only do you get the game, but you get New Orleans itself before and after.
It is important to note that the ATL metro area is more than 3.8 times greater than NOLA. That is 5.8 million for ATL and 1.5 for NOLA (also includes Hammond). I think the main reason for the apathetic fan base has a lot to do the fact the area is so full of transplant from other states. They are not as invested as we are we are with our Saints. I lived there for 9 years and during my time there I met so many people who relocated to ATL for work. None of these folks converted to be Falcon fans. I did become a Braves fan and a Thrasher fan though.

With that being said, Falcon fans still suck!

Coach, and here we are in 2019, the Thrashers have relocated to Winnipeg and become a somewhat better team and the Braves, well, their capable of winning their division every 2-3 years or so, maybe clinch a WC spot, but like their late 90's-2005 predecessors, their always one and done in the NLDS. When's the last time Braves actually won a playoff series like a NLDS? They had 14 consecutive division titles, won 5 NL pennants, and only have one sole World Series championship (1995). Even Chipper Jones has said in multiple interviews they should've won 1, maybe 2 more WS titles.

Who cares...
They'll have another stadium in 10 years when they are once again trying to gain the attention span of that bandwagoner fan base.
They're already having difficulty selling PSL's. Give another two years of Quinn's "Embrace the Suck" followed by blowing it up and starting all over again and people will have completely and totally lost interest.

Because the Seahawks did it.....Quinn is full of corny cliche' mantras.

"In Brotherhood"
"Embrace the Suck"
"We like Grit not Shiny"

Can't wait to sweep those fools again this year.

Let's see. On one hand we have a venue that has witnessed history such as...
  • 7 Superbowls
  • 5 Final Fours
    • UNC (Worthy, Jordan, Perkins) vs Georgetown (Eric Floyd, Patrick Ewing)
    • Pitinio's first Final Four
    • Chris Webber's Timeout
    • Jim Boeheim's first title
  • 4 BCS Championship Games
  • 1 Pro Bowl
  • Ali v Spinks
  • Leonard v Duran II
  • USSR National Gymnastics Team
  • USWNT vs China
It has also been host to countless Sugar Bowls, Bayou Classics, HS Championship games, Essence Festivals, Johnny Cash, Merle Haggard, Waylon Jennings, Aretha Franklin, Al Green, Jimmy Buffett, Hank Williams Jr, Lil Wayne, Rolling Stones, Kiss, Prince, Bowie, Whitney Houston, George Michael, GNR + Metallica (at the same time!), Paul McCartney, P9ink Floyd, U2, Cher, Pope John Paul II, Republican National Convention, etc.

On the other hand you have a large, metal sphincter...

I think part of it is that the Saints have really cornered the Southern market. The last few times I’ve been to Atlanta, I’ve seen more Saints fans than Falcons fans. And that was even during the 2012 Bountygate offseason and the ‘14-‘16 rebuilding years.
I noticed the same thing when I visit Carolina and Tampa.

This is how you end an argument. Well done!
