I feel like the whole team really came together today and showed us they want the best possible brothers in the brotherhood. It wasn't easy because the Packers were on a three game losing streak and their coach had just been fired. But all three phases had clutch plays and penalties to help us keep the losses rolling. When it looked like the game might be competitive, Matt Ryan threw a beautiful pick six--not just anyone could've made that throw. That really set the tone and was our biggest play of the game. But Matt also had some other nice misses when guys were open deep to really keep our foot on the brakes.
On defense, Deion Jones showed his leadership skills by dropping that easy pick six which would've given Green Bay some hope in losing the game. He also did a nice job when Rodgers got decked and a fight broke out, because if he hadn't committed a personal foul Green Bay might have been backed up out of FG range. Even Matt Bryant was able to overcome his usual accuracy and make some nice misses on the day, even an extra point!
This gives me great hope that we're going to close this year out on a strong streak -- we might even catch the Cardinals if they slip up somewhere! The Raiders and 49ers might have too big of a lead but you never know, that's why you play the games. Go Falcons!
