The Falcons O will be decent as long as they have White/Jones at WR and Gonzales at TE. It does not take a brainiac to design plays for three good receivers.

Thankfully, some predict Gonzales will retire this year.

That's exactly what he needs. You see how successful their old OC has been in Jacksonville. Falcons offense is quite predictable, but it's easy to win when you don't get no flags at all called on you for holding and Roddy White's offensive pass interference and foul play almost every single play.

Updating a previous item, the Eagles will interview Falcons OC Dirk Koetter, DC Mike Nolan, and special teams coordinator Keith Armstrong for their head-coaching vacancy on Wednesday.
FOX Sport's Jay Glazer initially reported that the Eagles would interview Nolan on Friday, but he took it a step further and said Philadelphia brass will travel to Atlanta and give all three assistants a look-see. Nolan is the only one of the three to have prior NFL head-coaching experience.
Teams searching for head coaches can interview assistants with the Falcons, Patriots, Broncos, and 49ers this week due to all four teams earning a first-round bye for the playoffs. Mon, Dec 31, 2012 07:57:00 PM

Would be even nicer if Mike Nolan went interviewing :9:
I saw a tweet earlier saying that Nolan will interview for at least 1 job... but that was several hours ago while I was at work and don't remember where it said he was going to interview

edit: he'll interview for the Eagles job

edit squared: I should learn to read previous posts completely and thoroughly b/c sykobob671 already said that

Koetter signed a 2 yr. extension overnight with the Falcons effectively taking himself off the market.

Falcons announced what @AlexMarvex reported on Dirk Koetter signing an extension to remain as OC. He signed deal around 1 a.m. #NFL32

Great career move.

He gets to keep building his rep on the backs of Mssrs. White, Jones, Gonzalez, and Ryan. Then (assuming they don't go 1 and done again), he's everyone's #1 choice instead of a fallback.
